Recognizing the need for a strong yet economical wheel for kiln cars, Rockett introduced its now famous 12” forged steel wheel in 1965.   Today, that same wheel still carries a 10 year guarantee against wear & flange breakage.

The early success of the 12” wheel lead to the addition of 8” & 10” for smaller cars and lighter loads & the 14” for larger cars & larger loads.

Now, over four decades later, with many thousands of wheels in service through-out the world, Rockett can proudly boast that our inexpensive HEAVY DUTY FORGED STEEL WHEEL has solved the costly problems of down time, repair, & replacement of the cast iron wheel.

Teaming these wheels with tapered roller bearings, we have developed low cost heavy duty axle assemblies in both thru-axle and stub-axle wheel designs.

In addition to the “Standard” assemblies pictured here, we are experienced in working with customers on special assemblies to meet their needs.

Rockett Forged Steel Wheels are stocked in 8”, 10”, 12”, & 14” diameters.   The tread and flange of the 12” & 14” wheels are induction hardened to a minimum 425 Brinell for increased wear resistance under the heaviest loads.
